Payment
Adherence to the payment policy. Failure to provide compensation may result in loss of studio space.
Scheduling/Rescheduling
All cancellations must be received 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. To cancel or reschedule, you must contact hheardtenor@gmail.com or call (419) 705-1158.
Free Pass
We offer one late cancellation/reschedule free of charge, every six months. For all additional cases of late notice given after 24 hours before the appointment, the full lesson fee will be charged using the payment information on file. Free passes cannot be applied to no-call or no-show appointments, nor can free passes be applied to introductory lessons.
Refunds or Cancellations for introductory lessons
We do not allow refunds or cancellations of introductory lessons. Only one reschedule is allowed if requested before the cancellation deadline.
Attendance & Punctuality
The student or student’s guardian should inform their instructor if they are running late for their scheduled lesson. If the instructor has not heard from the student 15 minutes into their lesson time, their time for that day will be forfeited. If the student or student’s guardian contacts their instructor before that time is up, we will wait and provide the student with the portion of the lesson time that they could attend.
Lessons will not be extended for lateness. Lessons are also forfeited if a student cancels but still joins the lesson at the scheduled time, as intent to cancel has already been communicated with the instructor
Illness
If the student is feeling unwell, especially if they have a sore throat, please notify your instructor as soon as possible. In cases when it is not advisable for the student to sing, we offer the option of having a "no-sing" lesson. The instructor would use this lesson as an opportunity to cover topics that allow the voice to rest, such as basic music theory and repertoire review/development
Lesson Termination
Students may be asked to discontinue lessons if they have excess absences, tardiness, or unpaid tuition.
Waiver of Liability
By signing below, student (and guardian) hereby assumes all risks associated with participating in vocal instruction, including but not limited to, damage to vocal cords. By signing below, student (and guardian) waives, releases, and discharges Heard Vocal Coaching from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of those being released, or any personal injury that may occur as a result of participation in vocal instruction.
Instructor Leave
In the event that my instructor takes an extended leave, I will be set up with a new instructor during that time. The new instructor is chosen per the recommendation of the current instructor. The new instructor will receive notes from my former instructor regarding my progress. Standard cancellation policy applies to the trial lesson.
Parent Participation:
If a student is under the age of 18, a parent or guardian’s signature is required agreeing to the terms set forth herein. If the student is young, it is asked that a guardian help set up Zoom before each lesson, print out all documents provided by the teacher, and make accompaniment recordings accessible for the student for the lesson and their practice. Parents of younger students are encouraged to observe their child’s lessons and actively encourage their child to practice at home.
Heard Vocal Coaching reserves the right to amend these policies at any time.
Autopay Payment Schedule:
Students signed up for a monthly lesson subscription are required to be on monthly autopay. A credit or debit card on file is required, no exceptions. Payment will be processed automatically on the 23rd of every month for the following month’s lesson subscription to take place.
Cancellation & Termination
I understand that If I wish to cancel my lesson subscription for the following month, I must inform Heard Vocal Coaching via email at hheardtenor@gmail.com or call (419) 705-1158 by 11:59pm EST on the 22nd of the current month. If I do not inform admin of this change, I will automatically be charged for the following month. It is my responsibility to inform Heard Vocal Coaching of my cancellation. I understand that If I terminate my subscription, I will not be refunded for any part of the current month’s subscription unless due to extenuating circumstances, minus the Stripe fee.
Payment Reminders
Students will receive a payment renewal reminder via email 7 days prior to the subscription renewal (typically on or around the 16th of the month).
Failed payments
In the case that a card is declined, Heard Vocal Coaching’s system will automatically alert me via email. In order for a lesson subscription to not be disrupted and/or canceled, one must provide Heard Vocal Coaching with a new form of payment, or rectify the existing form of payment. Heard Vocal Coaching's system will automatically try the card on file again between the 23rd-30th, unless new payment information is provided. If the card is still declined and there has been no communication regarding the failed payment, the subscription, as well as the lessons, will automatically be canceled for the following month. If a card is declined when a lesson is charged individually (ex: there are 5 Thursdays in one month), the cardholder will be invoiced for the cost. The subscription will be canceled for the following month if the invoice payment is not received by the subscription payment date.
Non-refundable
Lesson subscriptions are non-refundable.
Scheduling & Rescheduling
Lessons are scheduled at, or near, the time of enrollment. I will be scheduled for a consistent weekly time unless otherwise noted. Heard Vocal Coaching strongly encourages weekly lessons at the same time slot. However, other arrangements are possible when needed. Lesson cancellations must be received at hheardtenor@gmail.com or (419) 705-1158 no less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. All lesson scheduling, rescheduling, or cancellations must be made through hheardtenor@gmail.com or (419) 705-1158.
Subscription Prorate
All four lessons must be used within each month, and do not roll over to the next month. Heard Vocal Coaching only prorates a subscription for existing students if the student decides to take a flex month or for a student’s own extenuating circumstances. If I join prior to the 23rd of the month, Heard Vocal Coaching will prorate the current month's subscription. If I join after the 23rd of the month, my subscription will begin the next month.
Flex Months
Heard Vocal Coaching offers our subscription clients 3 flex months from the enrollment date which accounts for holidays, vacations, etc. When using a flex month, a student may book between 1-3 lessons for the month. At least one lesson must be utilized. To use my flex month, I must email hheardtenor@gmail.com or phone (419) 705-1158 prior to the cancellation window of my lesson(s).
Subscription Pause
Subscriptions cannot be paused. A flex month can be taken for months in which all four lessons cannot be utilized.
Subscription Cancellation
If you choose to cancel your subscription, please note you will not be able to re-enroll for six months. During that time you are welcome to schedule individual lessons until the re-enrollment date.
Free Pass
